A documentary by Tom Franse and Iris van Raalte
A musical documentary from inside an asylum center
They fled from their home country, share no common language, but they make music together nonetheless. A group of musicians from different nationalities practice weekly in asylum center Onnen, in preparation of their musical performance on Neighbours’ Day.
Safe and Sound tells their stories in the weeks leading up to Neighbours’ Day. Will they be able to overcome the cultural and lingual differences with music? What brought them to the Netherlands, and what stories do they bring?
Tom Franse and Iris van Raalte are bringing you an unique view from inside an asylum center, and involve you in a music group with an improbable composition.
