A documentary by Simone Oosterbaan and Josta van Zoonen

At the age of 11 Elke van Achterberg (17) broke her big toe while playing on the bed of her parents. Because of the fall she got the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Elke was having nerve pain in her left leg 24 hours a day. After a difficult period in her life Elke was looking for a way to help her express her feelings and she found wheelchair fencing. Two years ago Elke made the decision to amputate her lower left leg and is pain free ever since.

Now Elke is fencing in the highest competion in the world and is also modeling. But the most important thing for her: she wants to inspire and help others with her story.
