It’s just a little reminder to let you know that your email address will be used to subscribe to our mailing list and to confirm your subscription to our newsletter. We were able to find this email by looking at the link on the right side of your e-mail.
So, let’s say you have a spam filter that catches all emails from our website. This email is obviously from one of our advertisers, and we know who it is because it has the “P” in it. So even if you’ve disabled your spam filter you may still receive this message. And even if you don’t you can check for the presence of this email address in your “Sent Items” column in the “Recent” box.
There are a few different ways to check for incoming mail. You could check it in your Sent Items column on your Google account and it will show a green checkmark. Or you can use the Google Alerts tool by searching for “pii-email” (in Gmail) or “pii-email-check” (in Google Apps) and it will show up in your recent messages.
Of course, to check your Inbox you must have an inactive Gmail account because the Inbox is where all incoming mail goes. So if you dont have an inactive Gmail account then you can’t check your Inbox.
I think you can use the Google Alerts tool to see when you have new mail. If you log in to your Gmail account and open the Inbox in the Google App there is a message that says that you have new mail. To check for this you just have to check in your mail and it will show that you have new mail.
